Same Day Teeth/All-On-Four

If you have lost all or most of your natural teeth and are considering dental implants, you may be interested in our revolutionary all-on-4 service. Thanks to our implant dentists’ expertise and advanced techniques, we can give you full arches of new teeth quickly and efficiently and sometimes in just one visit!

Just imagine walking into the dental clinic in the morning with missing teeth or teeth that are damaged beyond repair, and coming out the very same day with a whole new set of natural-looking, natural-acting replacement teeth. With our Same-Day Teeth implants service, this is possible for some implant patients.

Dental implants are small titanium screws that act much like natural tooth roots, supporting replacement teeth in the form of secured bridges, dentures or crowns. While traditional dental implants often require multiple appointments spread over a few weeks or months, Some treatment can be completed in just one day.

All-on-4 implants are fixed and non-removable, giving you the beautiful, natural-looking smile and quality of function that you require. This is an excellent, fast, and effective treatment that will deliver long-term results for patients.

The All-on-4 system of dental implants explained: Two implants are placed at the front of the jaw and two at the back, on to which your replacement teeth are attached. Just four implants on the lower jaw, and 4-6 in the upper jaw where the bone is less dense, can support all of your replacement teeth. The implants are angled in such a way that the forces created by biting and chewing are more evenly distributed.

You will leave the clinic with a full set of replacement teeth that you won’t need to worry about slipping and falling out the way that unsecured dentures can. They will also improve your ability to taste food because the top of your mouth is not covered the way it is with traditional dentures.

Five year studies have shown a success rate of 92 percent for full arch dental implants.

Full Mouth Reconstructions

If you have lost all or most of your teeth, your life will be affected in many ways. Not least, of course, your self-esteem, as having many or all your teeth missing or in poor condition can make you very self-conscious about smiling, causing you to hide your mouth behind your hands when you smile or laugh. However, losing many teeth can have other implications on your health and wellbeing. You won’t be able to eat many of your favourite foods, and healthy options such as fresh fruit and vegetables could be off the menu as you will have trouble biting or chewing without teeth. This can have a serious impact on your general health.

At Dental Excellence we take a holistic approach to dental care. Our concerns are not just about the cosmetic appearance of your smile, but of the health of the whole patient.

That’s why we offer full mouth reconstructions with dental implants (titanium screws that act like tooth roots) to patients who have lost all or several of their teeth. Dental implants will give you back not just a healthy, happy smile, but will also enable you to eat whatever you like.

Our dental implant team is led by specialists and backed by oral surgeons, giving all of our patients a safe and seamless service every time. Full mouth reconstruction with dental implants is a permanent, stable and strong solution that leaves you with the feeling of a whole new

Our implants offer a secure solution for every situation. They are permanent, stable and strong, giving you the feeling of having your own teeth back.

The good news is that you don’t need as many implants as teeth for a full mouth reconstruction. In most cases, a full set of lower jaw teeth can be supported by two-four implants and the upper jaw six implants.

In some cases, it’s possible to have your implants and tooth restorations fitted on the same day, using our revolutionary Same-Day Teeth service. Please visit our Same-Day Teeth page for full details.

Comfortable Precision Dentures

For many years, the only solution for patients who had lost all or most of their teeth was unsecured dentures. Dentures do help those who have lost all or several teeth, enabling them to eat and speak more clearly. But many conventional denture-wearers report that they come with their own set of problems.

The most common complaint is dentures that do not fit properly. Advances in denture technology have made them fit more snuggly, but over time this problem does still arise. The problem with unsecured dentures is that while they replace the teeth, they do nothing to support the bone and tissues beneath. Over time the bone is resorbed (recedes) and the gums shrink back, meaning dentures that once fitted well become loose. This can cause problems with speech, with eating and with soreness as the denture rubs the gums. You might even fear your denture will fall out if you laugh!

At Dental Excellence we offer comfortable precision dentures for both existing denture patients and patients who are new to dentures. A perfect solution for many is implant-secured dentures.

Implant-secured dentures use a small number of dental implants (osteoconductive titanium screws) placed in the jaw bone on to which your dentures are permanently attached. The implants act like natural tooth roots, integrating with and helping to preserve the bone, whilst also keeping your dentures securely attached, meaning you can speak, eat and laugh with confidence.

The initial cost of implant-secured dentures will be more than conventional dentures, but we believe this is outweighed by the increased quality of life experience and the fact that, with proper care, your implant-secured dentures should last much longer than conventional dentures, and mean that you will experience fewer problems with your dentures and will need to replace them or have them adjusted less frequently. You can also wave goodbye to denture pastes for life.

Dental Implants

Dental implants can replace a single missing tooth, several or all of your natural teeth.

Put simply, a dental implant is a strong and permanent replacement for the root of a missing tooth. They are made of titanium, which is osteoconductive (Bone supporting). The integrate with your jaw bone to provide a strong, comfortable and secure base on to which replacement teeth are attached, in the form of crowns, fixed bridges or dentures.

Denture Stabilisation; If you have loose or ill-fitting dentures, your ability to eat and speak may become affected. Due to advances in dentistry, there is now a procedure whereby your denture can be fixed to your jaw with dental implants. This treatment, known as implant overdentures or denture stabilisation, offers patients with dentures a more permanent solution and can improve your quality of life significantly. You will be able to enjoy your favourite foods again and feel comfortable smiling, safe in the knowledge that your dentures are staying put.

Fillers

Dermal filler treatment is a cosmetic procedure that plumps up facial lines and wrinkles to make the skin look more youthful. Fillers usually consist of sterile hyaluronic acid gels made from non-animal sources. As we age, the skin’s natural hyaluronic acid is lost, giving rise to the appearance of lines, wrinkles and folds. Fillers are also used for lip enhancement and for shaping facial, hand and neck contours. Here is how dermal filler treatment works:

  • Local anaesthetic is first administered to the area to prevent any discomfort.
  • The dermal filler is then injected, which only takes a few minutes.
  • The effect of the treatment is visible immediately.
  • Depending on the area treated, skin type and the injection technique, the filler effect can last between 6 and 12 months (usually six months for lips)
  • Follow-up treatments will help to maintain the plumped up look over time.
Life benefits
  • Smoothed out skin surface for a more youthful appearance.
  • Non-surgical and painless procedure.
