My name is Dr Pedro Alsina, I am a highly trained, experienced implant clinician whose main areas of special interest are in Dental Implantology and Oral surgery. I have recently joined Dental Excellence Athlone
My experienced team and I can provide all levels of treatment, from straightforward implants to more complex cases, including bone augmentation. I like to develop a close working relationship with all referring dentists and will only carry out work specified in referrals, meaning your patients remain your patients. Referring clinicians will be kept up to speed on all treatments being carried out.

My Name is Dr. Saif Khan, I graduated as a Dentist in 2006, after which I gained broad based experience in dentistry in mainly hospital and academic environment, before moving to Ireland in 2016.
I did my specialist training in Orthodontics and Paediatric Dentistry, where I gained experience in fixed and removable braces of children and adults. I have a special interest in jaw growth modifications in teenagers, and I have a broad experience in alignment and relapse cases in adults.
I am also a certified Invisalign provider, and use this option for many suitable adult and teenage patients. I work with our other team members for the ABC approach: Align-Bleach-Composite Bonding.

I have also completed training in Special Care Dentistry at the University College London/ Eastman Dental Institute, London, Leading to MSc Special Care dentstry and DSCD RCS (Edinburgh).

I am Dr. Shahin Naji Esfahani, a highly experienced prosthodontist and restorative dentist at Dental Excellence Athlone. I specialize in a broad spectrum of restorative treatments, from straightforward cases to complex full-mouth rehabilitations and advanced occlusion management. My practice is centred around providing a gentle, patient-focused approach, with a comprehensive, step-by-step treatment plan and clear explanations tailored to each individual.

I possess extensive expertise in both analog and digital dentistry, enabling me to offer a wide range of treatments that meet the diverse needs of patients. As a qualified Digital Smile Design (DSD) dentist, I have the ability to create and deliver customized treatment plans that align with the unique desires of each patient.

I collaborate closely with implantologists to restore single or full-arch implants and with orthodontists to provide post-treatment cosmetic procedures such as layered composite bonding or minimally invasive, guided prep veneers. Additionally, I manage referrals from general dentists, offering solutions for patients with various forms of tooth wear, addressing not only restoration but also occlusal vertical space management.

I am also available for consultations with fellow dentists, providing second opinions and assisting in the design of treatment plans that align with both clinical objectives and patient comfort.
